Wake the Sun? »

I badly needed a new index page for my website so to celebrate the end of summer, I decided to theme it around a doujinshi cover I picked up last summer at Comiket 2010.  This particular doujinshi artist draws the Reborn characters as woodland animals… in this case wolves and squirrels.  I extracted the main graphic and recreated the background using my own photos and some brushes I found on brush king.  The colors and overall concept came from the doujinshi artist but the recreation of it is my own.

You can check out the new index site here:

Since it was a shame not to make a wallpaper out of it, I did just that.   I’m also a stickler for tradition. All of my wallpapers have to include a famous song or poem.  So I chose “All Soul’s Night” by Loreena McKennitt.  I think it fits quite well.  Enjoy!

Wake the Sun? »

This is a test of the wordpress app on the iPhone. I am quite pleased to know that not only does it work, but I can post video and photos from my
iPhone. Hazzah!!! By the way the above picture was taken in Kobe of the annual Christmas light celebration called the Kobe Luminarie. The light displays are a commemoration of the Kobe earthquake. The displays are changed every year.

Wake the Sun? »

Finally!! After nearly 4 years of inactivity, “Visions of Fantasy” is finally back online!  In keeping with the times I’ve finally switched to wordpress and tried my hand at a full css layout (as opposed to my other layouts which used old-style html coding and *shudder* tables … okay I’ve been out of the web design scene for over 7 years, take pity on me ….).  Due to my inability/lack of time to really sit down and figure out the code (plus the fact that I know next to nothing about php) this theme is a fairly bare bones one, featuring only the bare essentials.  Someday I’ll get around to fixing it up but for the time being we’ll have to settle for this.
